Creating WordArt in PowerPoint consists of selecting one of their 30 standard layouts, but unfortunately they have had the same 30 layouts for many years. Isn’t it screamingly obvious when a document was created using one of the standard PowerPoint choices? Most of them are too dramatic and they rarely represent the personal feeling and image that the writer wants to convey.

Microsoft gives you the same WordArt choices in Publisher as they do in PowerPoint.

The WordArt options are the same in PowerPoint, Publisher and Word. Even many elementary school children are sick of them. In most cases, they do not provide a professional or personalized option for creative text.

MS Paint is supposed to be a creative program but it is not easy to type in and word art isn’t even an option. In this example, we could not eliminate the white background behind the words, we could not center the text and once we exited the Text function, we couldn’t move the box or even delete it.

There is no end to the possibilities of making creative–looking words. Graphics-Toolbox lets the user decide how they want their words to look. Some examples are below:

  • Layer text to create dramatic or subtle shadows
  • Bend words your way
  • Frame and accentuate with hundreds of fancy lines and ribbon patterns
  • Add texture
  • Add shading
  • And much more…
